How to Serve

Jeffrey's Fresh Meat Pet Foods are made from fresh raw ground meats. Completely thaw inside the refrigerator. You do not need to cook the food before serving.

Thawing times vary depending on container size. Keep refrigerated after thawing. Smaller containers usually thaw within 8-10 hours in the refrigerator. Larger containers take longer.

If the food is not completely thawed at mealtime, add a little warm water in the serving bowl.

When properly handled, Jeffrey's Fresh Meat Pet Foods will keep for three to four days in the refrigerator.

Wash bowls after feeding. Wash hands after handling raw foods.

Tip! Please call with any questions. We are glad to share our experience in transitioning to a raw diet. Our canine and feline companions love Jeffrey's and look forward to every meal.

Felines

Adult cats should be fed twice a day and only given what they can or will eat in 30 minutes. Amount to feed will vary by age, current weight and activity level. Do not leave food out. Cat should be hungry by mealtime.

Tip! Switch to feeding twice daily with your cats' current diet before introduction Jeffrey's Fresh Meat Pet Foods. This will ease the transition onto a raw diet.

Cats either take to a raw diet immediately or need a little coaxing. Initially, you may add Jeffrey's Freeze-Dried Chicken or Jeffrey's Bonito Flakes (or other favorite treats) to spur your cats' appetite. Offer Jeffrey's on its own at first. If your cat is hesitant, it's fine to mix with a natural canned food as you transition.

Canines

Adult dogs should be fed once or twice a day and only given what they can or will eat in 30 minutes. Amount to feed will vary by age, current weight and activity level. Do not leave food out.

Tip! If your dog is eating too quickly, Jeffrey's Fresh meat Pet Foods can be fed out of a puzzle toy. Slower feeding will aid digestion and provide calming entertainment.
