How to Serve Jeffrey’s

Jeffrey's canine and feline meals are made with fresh raw meat and must be handled appropriately.

We offer both fresh and frozen options.

For fresh food (made fresh every morning Monday-Friday), refrigerate promptly, keep refrigerated, and use within 3-4 days.

For frozen food, thaw in refrigerator, and keep refrigerated after thawing. Thawing times vary depending on container size. Smaller containers usually thaw within 8 hours in the refrigerator. Larger containers may take longer. If food is not completely thawed by mealtime, feel free to add a little warm water in the serving bowl.

Jeffrey’s is best served raw. You do not need to cook or heat our food unless directed by your veterinarian. We’re also happy to advise on this.

Raw food is not meant to be left out. Only feed what your cat or dog is able or willing to eat within 30 minutes.

Always wash utensils and bowls after feeding, and always wash hands after handling any raw meat.

When properly handled, Jeffrey's Fresh Meat Pet Foods will keep for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

Like to stock up? Jeffrey’s will keep in the freezer for 6 months.

Feline feeding recomendations

Adult cats should be fed twice a day and only given what they are able or willing to eat within 30 minutes. Amount to feed will vary by age, current weight, ideal weight and overall activity level. Do not leave food out. Cats should be hungry by mealtime.

For an easy transition to a raw diet, we recommend switching to feeding twice daily with your cats' current diet either before or during your transition to Jeffrey’s.

Offer Jeffrey's on its own at first. Cats will either take to a raw diet immediately or need a little additional coaxing. If your cat is hesitant, add a sprinkle of a favorite treat, like Bonito Flakes or Freeze-Dried Chicken. It's also fine to mix Jeffrey’s with a natural canned food as you transition.

CANINE feeding recomendations

Adult dogs should be fed once or twice a day and only given what they are able or willing to eat within 30 minutes. Amount to feed will vary by age, current weight, ideal weight and overall activity level. Do not leave food out. Dogs should be hungry by mealtime.

Dogs love our food! Though we recommend introducing any new diet slowly, you can expect an easy transition to Jeffrey’s.

If your dog is eating too quickly, Jeffrey's Fresh Meat Pet Foods can be fed out of a slow feeder or interactive toy or puzzle. Slower feeding will aid in digestion and toys and puzzles can provide mental stimulation.
